Nigerian midfielder Alhassan Yusuf was on the scoresheet for Belgian side Royal Antwerp in their 4-1 defeat at the hands of FC Porto in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.
The 23-year-old, who was in the team due to a teammate’s injury, broke the deadlock in the 37th minute with a close-range strike into the bottom right corner for his side’s third goal in the Champions League this season.
Porto leveled the scores seconds into the second half through Brazilian striker Evanilson, who came on as a first-half substitute for the injured Wendell Borges and found the bottom corner with the help of a deflection.

Canadian midfielder Stephen Eustaquio completed the comeback for the away side in the 54th minute with a clam finish from about 15 yards out, guiding the ball into the back of the net past goalkeeper Jean Butez.
Evanilson got his second and Porto’s third of the game, sweeping in Pepe Aquino’s cross with a well-taken volley fifteen minutes after Eustaquio’s goal.
The Brazilian completed a memorable night with his third goal of the game, six minutes from full time. Evanilson latched onto Mehdi Taremi’s through ball before lobbing Butez from 20 yards out after spotting the Antwerp shot-stopper out of his lines.
