Bayern Munich sealed a spot in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 despite being held to a 1-1 draw at home by Celtic on Tuesday night, Afrosport reports.
Bayern headed into the game at Allianz Arena with a 2-1 first-leg advantage, but the Bundesliga leaders were pegged back in the second half as Nicolas Gerrit Kuhn opened the scoring for Celtic in the 63rd minute.
The former Bayern man drew his side level on aggregate after benefitting from some poor defending by Kim Min-Jae before finishing past Manuel Neuer and into the bottom corner.
After squandering numerous chances, the hosts finally got back on level terms as Canadian defender Alphonso Davies bundled home the equaliser in the 94th minute after goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel denied Leon Goretzka’s initial effort.

Vincent Kompany’s side avoided extra time with the last kick of the game, with the Bavarians progressing to yet another Champions League last 16, their 16th in the past 17 seasons in the competition.
Bayern will face either Atletico Madrid or domestic rivals Bayer Leverkusen in the round of 16.
