Tottenham Hotspur have appointed Thomas Frank from Brentford as their new head coach on a three-year contract, replacing Ange Postecoglou, Afrosport reports.
Postecoglou was relieved of his duties after leading Spurs to the Europa League title, ending a 17-year trophy drought.
The North London club however had an abysmal form in the Premier League, finishing a lowly 17th, winning only 11 games out of 38 and losing 22.
Danish tactician Frank takes over at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium having led Brentford to a 10th place finish last season.
He has been in charge of the Bees since 2018 while in the Championship and led them to the Premier League in 2021 after beating Swansea City in the playoff final, and will be joined by his backroom staff.
“We are delighted to announce the appointment of Thomas Frank as our new Head Coach on a contract that runs until 2028,” Tottenham said in a statement.
“In Thomas we are appointing one of the most progressive and innovative head coaches within the game. He has a proven track record in player and squad development and we look forward to him leading the team as we prepare for the season ahead.
“Thomas will be joined from Brentford by Justin Cochrane (First Team Assistant Coach), Chris Haslam (Head of Performance & First Team Assistant Coach) and Joe Newton (First Team Coach Analyst), with Andreas Georgson (First Team Assistant Coach) arriving from Manchester United.”

Meanwhile, Brentford in their own statement said: “In his seven years as head coach with the Bees, Frank guided the club back into the top flight of English football, before stabilising the west Londoners in the Premier League, providing some fantastic performances and memorable victories in that time.
“Everyone connected with Brentford would like to thank Thomas for the incredible impact he has had on the club’s history.”
