Terem Moffi returns to Nice training after lengthy injury layoff

Moffi: OGC Nice coach raises concern on Nigerian striker’s fitness

Super Eagles forward Terem Moffi has returned to training at French Ligue 1 club OGC Nice following a lengthy injury layoff, Afrosport reports.

Moffi suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury during preseason training and has spent about seven months on the sidelines.

The 25-year-old, who joined Nice on loan from Lorient, has not played a game this season and is currently working his way back to fitness.

Moffi last played for the French club in a 2-2 draw against Lille in May on the final day of the 2023-24 Ligue 1 season.

His last competitive appearance before the injury was Nigeria’s 2-1 loss to Benin Republic in the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup in June.

The Nigeria international finished his last campaign with 11 goals and two assists in 32 matches across all competitions.

It is, however, left to see when he will return to action for Les Aiglons as he continues to work his way back to fitness.
