Super Eagles and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has been honoured as the first-ever winner of Globe Soccer’s Power Horse Emerging Player of the Year.
The 24-year-old outperformed Barcelona’s Gavi and Real Madrid’s Federico Valverde to win the award.
The 13th edition of the Dubai Globe Soccer Awards was held in Dubai, with football stars and celebrities gathering to celebrate the annual event with 21 winners across different categories.
The newly-introduced category – Power Horse Emerging Player of the Year award – recognises young players who stood out last season with their incredible performances.
Osimhen expressed his gratitude after receiving the award via a post on his social media channels.

The Super Eagles attacker is enjoying a rich vein of form in Luciano Spalleti’s team, becoming the first player to score double-figure goals in the Italian Serie A this season.
He has 11 goals and three assists from 16 games across all competitions for Napoli who sit comfortably at the top of the table.
