Victor Osimhen says it is an incredible feeling to play alongside Alvaro Morata at Galatasaray, Afrosport reports.
Like the Super Eagles forward, the Spaniard is on loan with the Istanbul giants from AC Milan and returned to action in Sunday’s comeback 2-1 win at Alanyaspor after missing the last five competitive games with a hamstring injury.
Osimhen scored the winner in the game to maintain Galatasaray’s unbeaten run in the Turkish Super Lig and is hoping for a formidable partnership with the Euro 2024 champion.
“It was incredible to play with him. He is a very experienced player. We all know him. He is a team player who comes close to receiving the ball in the attack, helps the team, he is an advanced player. I am very happy to play with him. We hope for a season where both of us score more goals and our momentum increases,” the 2023 African Player of the Year told the club website.
Galatasaray are now seven points clear at the top of the Super Lig standings and Osimhen revealed that the motivation within the team was the key to their comeback against Alanyaspor.
“Everyone talked in the dressing room. I think we are very good at this. Our captain, Sanchez, Günay and all of us talk. We motivate each other,” the Napoli loanee added.
“I think this is one of the things that gave us the energy we needed in the second half. We knew we would get the three points. We focused on that. We show all our respect to our opponent, but we believe we got a well-deserved victory.”

Osimhen will be in action when Galatasaray take on Antalyaspor on Friday night before he sets off for international duty with the Super Eagles in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
