Olympic bronze medallist Cindy Ngamba is set to make her professional boxing debut in London in March, Afrosport reports.
Ngamba made history at the Paris 2024 Olympics, where she became the first member of the Refugee Olympic Team to win a medal.
The 26-year-old Cameroonian has been placed on the undercard on the unification bout between Natasha Jonas and Lauren Price scheduled for 7 March.
Ngamba, who recently signed a “multi-fight” professional contract with promoters Boxxer, is looking to become a household name in women’s boxing and a world champion.
“I have shared the ring with the best of the best in the Olympics and as an amateur. I want to share the ring with the best as a professional and push myself as far as I can go,” said Ngamba.
“I’m looking forward to showcasing my skills as a professional for the first time.
“It is time for me to show what I am capable of and to continue to represent myself, Great Britain and all the refugees around the world.”
