The Golden State Warriors suffered their first defeat of the season as they were beaten 112-104 by the Los Angeles Lakers in their home opener at Chase Center on Sunday night.
The Warriors, who lost point guard Steph Curry to an ankle injury, were led by Andrew Wiggins’ 29 points. Curry had 18 points in about 27 minutes, and Kevon Looney poured in 10 points and 11 rebounds off the bench.

The Clippers had James Harden and Ivica Zubac’s 23 points performances to thank for the victory as they improved to 2-1. Harden tallied 11 assists, while Zubac grabbed 18 boards, adding to Norman Powell’s 20 points and Derrick Jones Jr’s 18 points.

Meanwhile, at Paycom Center, the Oklahoma City Thunder improved to 3-0 for the season with a 128-104 win over the Atlanta Hawks.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander finished with a team-high 35 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists, and Chet Holmgren added 25 points to go along with 20 points from Jalen Williams.
Trae Young led the Hawks with 24 points., while Onyeka Okongwu and Garrison Matthews poured in 14 points apiece off the bench.
Elsewhere, Cam Thomas and Dennis Schroder combined for 61 points to lead the Brooklyn Nets to a 115-102 win over the Milwaukee Bucks, who were led by Giannis Antetokounmpo’s 22 points and 12 rebounds.
At Moda Center, the Portland Trail Blazers saw off the New Orleans Pelicans 125-103 to register their first win of the season behind Jerami Grant’s game-high 28 points and Anfernee Simons 27 points.
Tyrese Maxey put up a season-high 45 points to lead the Philadelphia 76ers to a 118-114 win over the Pacers after overtime at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indiana.
Caleb Martin recorded a 17-point and 12-rebound double-double for the Sixers, who also got 15 points from Eric Gordon off the bench, while Tyrese Haliburton led the Pacers with 22 points.
