Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic will be out of action for at least a week after sustaining a wrist injury, the team announced on Thursday.
Doncic, 25, has reportedly suffered a right wrist sprain in the Mavericks’ 132-91 blowout win against the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night.
The Dallas Mavericks announced today that an MRI revealed a right wrist sprain for guard Luka Dončić. Dončić sustained the injury during the Mavericks’ game against New Orleans on Tuesday.
Dončić will be reevaluated in one week.

The five-time NBA All-Star returned to the team’s lineup at their American Airlines Center home after missing Sunday’s win against Oklahoma City with a knee injury.
Doncic, who was on the court for about 30 minutes, scored a game-high 26 points, adding five rebounds and five assists. He was 10-for-16 from the field and shot 3-for-8 on 3-pointers in the win against New Orleans.
Doncic, last season’s scoring champion, is currently averaging 28.1 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 7.6 assists per game for Dallas (8-7), and he will be reevaluated in a week.
The Mavericks will be in action on Friday night in Denver to face the Nuggets in the NBA Cup group stage, their first of three road games. They will head to Miami on Sunday before taking on the Atlanta Hawks on Monday night.
