The house of Newcastle striker Alexander Isak was robbed by a group of professional travelling burglars, Afrosport reports.
Newcastle Crown Court was told that the burglars broke into his residence in Northumberland last April when he was not around and carted away with his Audi car and jewellery worth £68,000.
The burglars had already stolen valuables and designer clothes worth more than £1.1 million from a businesswoman days before the raid on Isak’s house.
According to prosecutor Dan Cordey, cash between £5,000 and £10,000 was also taken away, while his Audi was later found abandoned by a member of the public.
Three of the burglars, who are all from the same family from Italy, have admitted conspiracy to commit burglary while a fourth member of the group has denied the charge.
Isak has had a productive season for Newcastle, scoring 19 goals in the Premier League and 22 in all competitions.
Newcastle will face Liverpool in the final of the EFL Cup at Wembley next Sunday.
