Taiwo Awoniyi scored his 10th Premier League goal of the season as Nottingham Forest concluded their campaign with a 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Forest secured their league status for next season when they defeated Arsenal 1-0 last time out at the City ground, Awoniyi scoring the all-important goal.
The Nigerian forward was in the mood to score once again and did so in the 31st minute at Selhurst Park when he latched on to Morgan Gibbs-White’s long ball before shoving off Joachim Andersen and planting the ball into the bottom right corner of the net.
It was the fourth consecutive game Awoniyi scored and his sixth goal in that run. He is also the first Forest player since 1995 to score in four consecutive Premier League games.

Palace leveled things up at the start of the second half, in-form Anglo-Nigerian Michael Olise sending the ball towards the direction of Will Hughes to head home.
Awoniyi ends the season with 11 in all competitions, the other one coming in Forest’s 4-1 victory over Blackburn Rovers in the fourth round of the EFL Cup.
Steve Cooper’s side finish the season in 16th place while Palace under interim manger Roy Hodgson, end the campaign in 11th place, seven points off the top half of the table.
