UCL: Real Madrid receive double boost ahead of Atalanta clash

Real Madrid have been boosted by the return Brazilian duo Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo ahead of their UEFA Champions League trip to Bergamo to face Atalanta on Tuesday night, Afrosport reports.

Vinicius has been sidelined for the past few weeks with a muscle injury likewise Rodrygo.

Their absence has been felt with Los Blancos battling to get results including in the Champions League where they currently sit in 24th place and are in danger of elimination.

Speaking on their availability for the game against Atalanta, Ancelotti said: “Vinicius is OK. It’s important to have Vinicius back in training to see what are his feelings, the same goes for Rodrygo.

“Bellingham is fine. He is totally recovered. The only doubts we have are Vinicius and Rodrygo. We’ll decide on them after the training session.”


Meanwhile, Jude Bellingham has been at his scoring best of late with five goals in his last five La Liga games which is clearing pleasing to Ancelotti.

“He’s back scoring again and that’s important for us, but his attitude on the pitch remains the same,” the Italian stated.

“Bellingham gives us an awful lot both going forward and defensively as well even if he doesn’t score in every match.”

Bellingham was Real Madrid’s top scorer last season with 23 goals and 13 assists in 42 competitive games, all of which helped in landing the La Liga, Supercopa de Espana and Champions League titles.
