Toronto Raptors forward Scottie Barnes will be on the sidelines for at least the next three weeks, Afrosport reports.
The Raptors announced on Wednesday that Barnes has sustained a right orbital fracture after an MRI scan was carried out.
The 2022 Rookie of the Year got injured in the fourth quarter of their 127-125 overtime loss to the Detroit Pistons on Monday night.
The 23-year-old was elbowed with 24 seconds remaining in the fourth following a collision with Russell Westbrook before stumbling to the bench in pain.
He finished with 21 points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists and is currently averaging 19.3 points, 7.8 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals per game while shooting 46% from the field and 18.2% on 3-pointers.
The Raptors are currently 1-4 to start the season and will play seven of their next 12 games on the road.
