WADA appoints Senegal’s Ndiate Chaya Ndiaye as Digital Insights chief

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has appointed Senegal’s Ndiate Chaya Ndiaye as Head of Digital Insights and Tom May as Director of Engagement & Development, Afrosport reports.

The move comes as part of the agency’s holistic five-year strategic plan, and has introduced two new impact areas.

According to WADA, the restructuring is designed to leverage data and digital assets more effectively, delivering critical insights to strengthen the global anti-doping system.

It also aims to better identify priority activities and regions for its initiatives by consolidating engagement strategies.

It is understood that the new framework has led to the dissolution of the previous impact areas of Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships and Programme Development.

Also, the relations between national anti-doping organisations and regional anti-doping organisations, will now operate under the Engagement and Development area, while Sport Movement Relations and Government Relations will function as separate liaison departments.

WADA noted that the realignment reflects its commitment to adapting its organisational structure to address the current anti-doping challenges.
