Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has been crowned the Italian Footballers’ Association (AIC) Footballer of the Year.
Osimhen was honoured at the Gran Gala del Calcio that took place in Milan on Monday following his exploits for Napoli in the 2022-23 season.
The Nigeria international led the Partenopei to their first Scudetto in 33 years and he claimed the Serie A’s top scorer award after scoring 25 goals last term.
Osimhen recently came eighth in the 2023 Ballon d’Or ranking and he is still in the running for the CAF’s African Footballer of the Year award.
