Nigeria U20 captain, Daniel Bameyi said they are going into their tie against Italy at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina with much confidence.
Ladan Bosso’s side were 2-1 winners in their opening game against the Dominican Republic in Mendoza on Sunday, while the Young Azzurri defeated Brazil 3-2 in a pulsating encounter.

The European side is the favorite heading into the match, but Bameyi believes they are ready for the battle.
“The next opponent beat Brazil and we watched the first half. Any team that can beat Brazil will not be an easy team but we are Nigerians and not scared of anybody,” Bameyi told NFF TV.
“We know every team is beatable no matter how you play.”

Italy and Nigeria are on the three points following their opening-day wins, but the former currently sit atop Group D with a superior goal difference.
The Flying Eagles will face the Italy in their second game of Group D on Wednesday at the Estadio Malvinas Argentinas at 7 p.m. WAT as they continue their quest for a first-ever title.
