Sunshine Stars will continue their quest for a first-ever President Federation Cup title when they face two-time winners Kano Pillars in the quarter-finals at the FCT Area 3 Stadium in Abuja on Wednesday.
The Akure Gunners eliminated Rivers United in the previous round after a 1-0 victory and will be basking on that euphoria when they take on Pillars who conquered Katsina United previously.
Elsewhere in the President Federation Cup, Sokoto United will hope to continue their fairytale run when they take on Abia Warriors in the quarter-finals at the Sani Abacha stadium.
The northern side conquered former champions and two-time African Champions Enyimba in the round of 16, and will have a tough nut to crack against another Abia State-based opponent.
Sokoto also sent NPFL side Nasarawa United packing in the round of 32 after a narrow 1-0 win.
Abia Warriors meanwhile ousted fellow NPFL team Rivers United in the last 16.
El Kanemi Warriors are scheduled to go up against debutants Inter Lagos who defeated Ikorodu City on penalties in the previous round, also on the card is a clash between EFCC FC and Kebbi United in Kano.
In the Women’s President Federation Cup quarter-final pairings, Nasarawa Amazons are up against Remo Stars Ladies, Naija Ratels and FC Robo Queens lock horns, Delta Queens do battle with Sunshine Queens, while Osun babes go head to head with Rivers Angels.
