Nigeria’s Folashade Ijamilusi completes Chinese WSL move from Edo Queens

Super Falcons forward Folashade Ijamilusi has secured a permanent move to Chinese Women’s Super League club Liaoning Baiye FC from Edo Queens, Afrosport reports.

Ijamilusi has reportedly signed a two-year deal with Liaoning Baiye, ending her stint with Edo Queens, who are the reigning Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) champions.

The pacey forward led Edo Queens to triumph in the NWFL last season, finishing as the league’s top scorer with eight goals.

The 23-year-old was also vital in helping the Benin-based team win the WAFU B tournament, as well as finish fourth in their CAF Women’s Champions League debut last year.

At the national team level, Ijamilusi scored a hat-trick for the Super Falcons in their 4-0 thrashing of Algeria’s Green Ladies in the second leg of their friendly doubleheader in Lagos in October 2024.
