Oklahoma City Thunder forward Jalen Williams has been fined $25,000 for the use of profane language on his clothing during a postgame media session, the NBA announced on Monday.
This follows Sunday’s Western Conference semifinals Game 7, where the Thunder edged the Denver Nuggets 125-93 at Paycom Center in Oklahoma to win the playoff series 4-3 and progress to the Conference Finals.
Williams wore a shirt that had the inscriptions “F— art, let’s dance” written across the chest.
The 24-year-old had 24 points, five rebounds, and seven assists to help OKC reach the Conference Finals, where they will play the Minnesota Timberwolves, with Game 1 set for Tuesday night.
Williams, who was selected 12th overall by the Thunder in the 2022 NBA draft, averaged 21.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 5.1 assists across 69 games during the regular season to help OKC finish with a league-best 68-14 record.
