Cristiano Ronaldo signs contract extension with Al-Nassr until 2027

Five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo on Thursday penned a new two-year contract with Al-Nassr until 2027, Afrosport reports.

The 40-year-old Portuguese joined the Saudi Pro League club in December 2022 following his departure from Manchester United.

His previous deal at Al-Nassr was set to expire at the end of June, with various rumours hinting at a possible exit from the club.

“A new chapter begins. Same passion, same dream. Let’s make history together,” Ronaldo wrote on X.

The former Sporting and Juventus forward has scored 99 goals in 111 appearances for Al-Nassr, including 35 goals in 41 matches in all competitions this past season.

Ronaldo, who is 62 goals away from 1,000 career goals for club and country, won the Saudi Pro League Golden Boot for the second consecutive season.

Al-Nassr finished third in the Saudi top-flight last season, amassing 70 points after 34 games.
