Nigerian Premier League Basketball champions Kwara Falcons have stepped up preparations for the upcoming Basketball Africa League (BAL) with participation in a four-club invitational tournament in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
The Falcons played their first game on Tuesday and it ended in a 84-69 defeat to Mali’s Stade Malien.

Baba Jubril’s men will hope to bounce back from the opening loss when they face another BAL-bound opponent, Abidjan Basketball Club Fighters later today.
The Falcons are scheduled to link Dakar, Sengegal, after the tournament for their games at the Basketball Africa League.
Kwara Falcons have been drawn in the Sahara conference with five other teams: US Monastir (Tunisia), Rwanda Energy Group BBC (Rwanda), AS Douanes (Senegal), and ABC Fighters (Ivory Coast).
They will begin their maiden campaign when they face off against REG on Sunday, March 12, at 3pm.
