Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan on Tuesday won the women’s 100-metre hurdles event at the Ostrava Golden Spike meet in Czech Republic, Afrosport reports.
Having clocked her second fastest time last week at the Paris Diamond League, Amusan ran a time of 12.45 seconds to win the event at Ostrava.

The 28-year-old Nigerian was far ahead of her chasing pack, with Slovakia’s Viktoria Foster finishing in second place in 12.74s, while Sarah Lavin of Ireland settled for third with a time of 12.76s, as they both ran their respective season’s bests.
Austria’s Karin Strametz (12.83s), Anna Toth of Hungary (12.76s), Italian Elena Carraro (13.01s), and home favourite Helena Jiranova , who ran 13.27s, all completed the line-up.
Meanwhile, it was an African 1-2 in the women’s 100m event as Liberia’s Thelma Davies and Ivorian Marie Josee Ta Lou-Smith finished in first and second place, respectively.
Davies clocked 10.91s for a new Personal Best and Liberian National Record, while Ta Lou-Smith followed behind in 10.92s in a tightly contested finish.
New Zealander Zoe Hobbs set a National Record and an Oceania Area Record of 10.94s to finish third.
