Arsenal will be without defender Gabriel Magalhaes for the rest of the ongoing season due to a hamstring injury, Afrosport reports.
Gabriel was forced off during Arsenal’s 2-1 home win against Fulham on Tuesday, and the club has confirmed that the 27-year-old will undergo surgery in the coming days.
A statement on the club website read: “Gabi will undergo a surgical repair procedure to his hamstring in the coming days, and immediately begin his recovery and rehabilitation programme, with the aim to be ready for the start of next season.
“Everyone at the club will be fully focused on supporting Gabi to ensure he is back to full fitness as soon as possible.”
