Done Deal: Tottenham complete Mohammed Kudus signing from West Ham

Tottenham Hotspur have announced the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United in a deal worth £55 million, Afrosport reports.

Kudus has signed a six-year contract at Tottenham until 2031, joining the North London club after spending two seasons with the Hammers.

The 24-year-old, born in Nima, Accra, moved to Europe in 2018 when he secure a moved to FC Nordsjaelland in Denmark from the Right to Dream Academy in his hometown.

He quickly caught the attention of bigger European sides and moved to join Dutch club Ajax in 2020. He spent three seasons at the club, winning three titles, including the Eredivisie twice.

West Ham came knocking and Kudus answered the call, switching to East London in August 2023. He helped the Hammers with 19 goals and 13 assists in 80 matches across all competitions.

Kudus became a Ghana international in 2019 and has scored 12 goals in 42 caps for the Black Stars, who he represented at the 2020 World Cup and 2024 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The midfielder will wear the number 20 shirt at Tottenham, previously won by the likes of Dele Alli and Michael Dawson.
