Chelsea scored eight unreplied times as they brought down Noah FC 8-0 in the UEFA Conference League at Stamford Bridge on Thursday night, Afrosport reports.
The Blues came into the game with a 100% record having beaten Gent and Panathinaikos in their opening two games.
They wasted no time against their opponents from Armenia with new signing Tosin Adarabioyo getting his first goal for the club in the 12th minute.
Three goals were followed between 13th and 21st minute through Marc Guiu, Axel Disasi and Joao Felix. Mykhailo Mudryk and Felix were the next to score to hand the men in blue a 6-0 halftime lead, making it the biggest lead by an English side going into the break in an European game since the 1976-77 UEFA Cup.
Chelsea were not done scoring and added two more in the second half, this time from Christopher Nkunku.
The result sees Enzo Maresca’s side top the Conference League standings with a superior goal difference ahead of Legia Warsaw, Jagiellonia Białystok, Rapid Vienna, Vitoria Guimaraes and Heidenheim who are all on nine points.
