Teenage sensation Ethan Nwaneri on Wednesday won Arsenal’s Player of the Month award for February, Afrosport reports.
Nwaneri, who has so far enjoyed a superb breakout season with the Gunners, scooped the monthly award after winning 54% of the fan votes.
He fended off competition from Gabriel Magalhaes, Mikel Merino and Jurrien Timber to win the accolade.

The 17-year-old scored one goal and provided an assist in four Premier League games in February as he continues to propel Arsenal forward in the absence of England international Bukayo Saka.
Nwaneri kicked off the month by scoring a brilliant curling effort in Arsenal’s 5-1 thrashing of defending champions Manchester City. He them found Mikel Merino’s head in their 2-0 win at Leicester City to register his first assist with the senior team.
The British-Nigerian has found the back of the net eight times this season across 27 games in all competitions, trailing only Michael Owen and Wayne Rooney for most goals scored for a Premier League club before turning 18.
