Jamal Musiala says he is not feeling pressured after signing a long-term contract with Bayern Munich, Afrosport reports.
The 21-year-old German of Nigerian heritage penned an extension that will tie him to the Bavarian giants until 20230 and will reportedly make him the joint-highest earner at the club with Harry Kane.
This comes on the back of Musiala being linked with a move away from the Allianz Arena, but the Bayern academy graduate is now focused on improving his craft rather than paying attention to comments and reactions from social media.
“Well, I am really critical about my performances and I can always try to find ways to get better, to perform better,” he said.
“And I put a lot of pressure on myself, so… but, I don’t look that much, I don’t watch social media, any other things. I don’t need that.
“So, I focus on myself. I work hard and try to improve, and to improve my weaknesses, so… And I always try to push myself to get better, that has always been the case. So, I don’t follow social media that much.”

Bayern will face Celtic at home in the second leg of UEFA Champions League knockout playoffs on Tuesday night with a 2-1 advantage, and Musiala asserts his team will focus on themselves rather than their opponents.
“I think, for us, it’s always just to focus mostly on ourselves to make sure we do our habits right. Bring the right amount of energy and intensity to the game and then we adapt to how the opposition plays. But mostly we look at ourselves and prepare for what we can do,” he added.
Musiala has scored 15 goals and provided eight assists in 31 competitive apperances for Bayern this season.
