Women’s World Cup: Nigeria’s Imuran shows off customised room in Australia

Super Falcons defender Rofiat Imuran shared some stunning pictures of her personal room at the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

The 19-year-old who plies her trade in France with Stade Reims, has a room in Nigeria’s camp in Brisbane with her full name and her picture boldly displayed.

She was part of the Falconets’ set-up that played at the 2022 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica where she played four matches.

An excited Imuran could not hide the joy of fulfilling her dreams of playing for Nigeria at the biggest women’s football competition in the world later this week.

She said: “As a kid playing football in the city of Ibadan, I never thought it would take me to where I am now. Dreams do come through. I will keep giving my best always.”

The Super Falcons will open their Women’s World Cup campaign in a Group B fixture against Canada on Friday, July 21.
