Michelle Agyemang capped off a scintillating summer at the 2025 UEFA Women’s Euro championship in Switzerland by being named young player of the tournament, Afrosport reports.
The 19-year-old of Ghanaian heritage featured for just 138 minutes during the course of the competition, all of the bench, but played a significant role towards England’s ultimate triumph.
She scored late equalisers against Sweden and Italy in the quarter-finals and semi-finals which led Sarina Wiegman’s side to respective victories via penalties and extra time before edging past Spain in Sunday’s final for back-to-back titles.

Meanwhile, Spain midfielder Aitana Bonmati was named player of the tournament after battling with viral meningitis before the competition started, and scored the extra-winner against Germany in the semi-finals.
Her compatriot Esther Gonzalez won the golden boot as top scorer with four goals in six matches.
