Saudi Pro League giants Al-Nassr have struck a £43.7 million deal with Chelsea for Portuguese forward Joao Felix, Afrosport reports.
The 25-year-old joined the Blues last summer in a £45 million deal from Atletico Madrid but failed to establish himself in the first team and was sent out on loan to AC Milan for the second half of the 2024-25 season.
Felix has now been given permission to travel to the Saudi capital city of Riyadh for his medical as part of the completion the move and will link up with compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo.
He will become Chelsea’s fourth summer departure after Djordje Petrovic, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Noni Madueke to Bournemouth and Arsenal respectively while the likes of Raheem Sterling, Ben Chilwell, Renato Veiga and Armando Brojs are all up for sale.
The reigning FIFA Club World Cup champions have already spent over £200 million signing Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens, Estevao, Dario Essugo, Mamadou Sarr, Kendry Paez and Joao Pedro while they are closing in on Xavi Simons and Jorrel Hato.
The West London club must have a positive transfer balance in order to comply with UEFA’s rules or risk being unable to register new signings for the upcoming Champions League campaign.
