Bukayo Saka was on target as Arsenal defeated Greek giants Olympiacos 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium to record back-to-back wins in the league phase of the UEFA Champions League, Afrosport reports.
The Gunners defeated Spanish side Athletic Bilbao by the same scoreline away from home in their league phase opener a fortnight ago and were in front against Olympiacos after 12 minutes when Swedish striker Viktor Gyokeres found Brazilian winger Gabriel Martinelli to tap in with ease.
The visiting side were close to equalising in the 67th minute but Chiquinho’s effort was ruled out by VAR for offside.
Arsenal continued to push for another goal and finally got it in added time when captain Martin Odegaard fed Saka the ball and put it through the legs of goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis.
