Nigeria’s under-20 national team, the Flying Eagles, will get to know their opponents in the group stage of the 2025 FIFA U20 World Cup in Chile on Thursday, 29 May, Afrosport reports.
The draw ceremony for the youth tournament will take place in Santiago, Chile’s capital city, with top football executives expected to be in attendance.
The Flying Eagles, who won bronze at the U20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt this month, are one of 24 teams competing in the U20 World Cup, scheduled for 27 September – 19 October.
Aliyu Zubairu’s side have been placed in Pot 1 alongside New Zealand, France, Ukraine, Argentina, and Mexico.
The participating teams will be drawn into six groups of four teams.
