2The semifinal fixture between Nigeria’s under-20 men’s team, the Flying Eagles, and Niger Republic in the ongoing WAFU B U20 Championship has been postponed, Afrosport reports.
The Flying Eagles were initially billed to face their Nigerien counterpart on Saturday, but the match has now been moved to Sunday, October 27.
The venue remains the Municipal Stadium in Uyo, with the match now slated to kick off at 7pm Nigeria Time.
The Flying Eagles, who are defending champions, rallied to defeat Ivory Coast 2-1 in their final Group A game on Thursday.
Aliyu Zubairu’s side are guaranteed a spot in next year’s Africa U20 Cup of Nations in South Africa if they can overcome Niger and reach the finals of the ongoing tournament in Togo.
