The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Kenyan officials for the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifying fixture between the Flamingos of Nigeria and their South African counterpart, Afrosport reports.
Josephine Wanjiku has been selected as the referee for the second-round first leg encounter set to take place at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria on Saturday, 8 March.
Wanjiku will be joined by compatriots Mary Njoroge, Elizabeth Njoroge and Juma Lucy Awino, who will all serve as assistant referee 1, assistant referee 2 and fourth official, respectively.
CAF, meanwhile, selected Cindy Barbara Dludlu from Eswatini as the match commissioner, while Moroccan Khadija Rezzag is the referee assessor.
The second leg between the two rivals will take place at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne on Saturday, 15 March.
The winner of the two-legged contest will advance to the final round of the qualifiers to face either Algeria or Botswana.
The 2025 U17 Women’s Cup is scheduled to take place in Morocco from 17 October to 8 November, with four finalists from the qualifying rounds set to join the hosts as Africa’s representatives.
