Manchester United defender Tyrell Malacia has secured a loan move to PSV Eindhoven for the rest of the season, Afrosport reports.
Malacia joined United in a four-year deal worth around £13 million from PSV rivals, Feyenoord, in 2022. He had a successful debut season, making 35 appearances and winning the League Cup with the Red Devils.
The 25-year-old, however, did not have an enjoyable sophomore campaign, as he spent about 17 months on the sidelines with a serious knee injury.

“Manchester United defender Tyrell Malacia will spend the rest of the 2024/25 season on loan with Eredivisie side PSV Eindhoven,” United said in a statement on the club website.
“It has been agreed that Tyrell will now link up with Peter Bosz’s side in his home country for the rest of this season.”
Malacia has fallen behind in the pecking order under Ruben Amorim, and with the arrival of Danish wing-back Patrick Dorgu from Lecce, the Dutchman’s future at Old Trafford looks bleak.
“I am happy to be here. Finally playing football again,” Malacia told PSV website. “I am coming back from a long injury, but I am now fit and know that my time will come again.
“In every difficult period there are also positive elements and in this case that is that I have become much stronger physically and mentally. I have more patience, am more mature, know my body better and things like that. I am ready to go and hopefully win several prizes with PSV.”
He is contracted to United until the end of next year, and he returns to the Eredivisie to play for league leaders PSV, who are two points clear of Ajax, having played a game more.
Malacia will wear the No. 3 shirt at Philips Stadium and will be part of the PSV squad when they host Willem II in the league on Saturday.
