Turkish Super Lig: Osimhen scores winner in Galatasaray comeback against Alanyaspor

Victor Osimhen scored the winner as Galatasaray came from behind to defeat Alanyaspor 2-1 in the Turkish Super Lig on Sunday evening, Afrosport reports.

The league leaders went behind at Gain Park Stadium when Tonny Vilhena scored for the home team in the 23rd minute.

Substitute Galatasaray goalkeeper Gunay Guvenc was then given a straight red card for unsportman behaviour from the bench in added time of the first half.

Galatasaray were not going to allow their unbeaten run in the league go up easily and equalised in the 51st minute when Kosovo defender Fidan Aliti put the ball into his own net.

The three points were secured when Osimhen rose highest to power in a header from a Baris Yilmaz cross in the 62nd minute.

It took the Super Eagles forward to 17 league goals in the Turkish top flight this season, one strike behind leading marksman Krzysztof Piatek of Istanbul Basaksehir.

Galatasaray also remain uneaten after 26 games (W21 D5) and are seven points clear of fierce Istanbul rivals Fenerbahce at the top of the standings.
