West Ham United forward Jarred Bowen has lauded Egyptian star Mohamed Salah and Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka ahead of Thursday’s UEFA Europa League semi-final against AZ Alkmaar.
Bowen, who is also a left-footer, described Salah and Saka as his favourite players in the English top division.
When asked about his Premier League best players, the England star said: “I still think Salah. I’ve seen the other day he’s scored 30 goals, and people still say he is having a bad season. I think for the numbers that he produced consistently since he has been in the Premier League, he is still up there.
“I also think Bukayo [Saka] as well at Arsenal. I had the honour to play with him at England national team level and saw how good he was.
“This season he has been phenomenal. Those two are the ones for me for the numbers they produce and with the quality they play at.”
Salah has scored 19 goals with seven assists in 35 Premier League matches for Liverpool this season while Saka is leading Arsenal’s charge for a Premier League title with his contribution of 13 goals and 11 assists in 35 games.

Bowen and his West Ham teammates welcome Alkmaar to the London Stadium for the first leg of their semifinal as they continue to push for the club’s first European title since 1965.
David Moyes’ side have been on a tear in Europe’s third division this season, as they took all available points in the group stage.
They were comfortable 6-0 winners against AEK Larnaca over two legs in the round of 16 and dispatched Belgian side Genk 5-2 on aggregate in the quarter-finals.
Tonight’s match is West Ham’s second semi-final appearance in Europe in the last two seasons.
