Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Mohamed Salah is contention to play against Brentford in Saturday’s early Premier League kick off.
The Egyptian has been out with a hamstring injury since January 18 when he was on international duty with the Pharaohs at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Klopp, who was named Premier League manager of the month for January, stated that the 32-year-old is now back in full training with the rest of his teammates and could be involved for the Reds for the first since New Year’s Day.
“Mo is back in full training so that brings him back into contention of course,” the German tactician said ahead of the game.

Klopp also said on the rest of his injured players: “Ibou [Ibrahima Konate] is not suspended any more, Joe [Gomez] is fit again, Conor [Bradley] is back, Alisson [Becker] is back, so that’s that’s positive. Thiago [Alcantara] is a no.”
Liverpool currently top the Premier League table, two points clear of familiar title rivals Manchester City who have a game in hand.
