The Nigeria Rugby Football Federation (NRFF) on Wednesday announced the final 28-man squad list for the 2024 Africa Cup XVs (repechage), Afrosport reports.
The NRFF adhered to the final submission deadline stated by Rugby Africa ahead of the tournament, which is scheduled to take place in Tunisia from 16-23 December 2024.
Nigeria will compete in Pool A, alongside hosts Tunisia, Zambia, and West African rivals Ghana.
The top-ranked team in Pool A will advance to the final, facing the winner of Pool B, which includes Morocco, the qualifiers’ champions held last month.
However, the winner of the decisive match will be crowned the 2024 Rugby Africa Cup XVs Repechage champion, subsequently earning a place in the 2025 Rugby Africa Cup.
