Rivers United have emerged as Nigeria’s highest-ranked team in the Confederation of African Football (CAF)’s latest club rankings, coming in at 24th on the continent, Afrosport reports.
The updated standings, released ahead of the preliminary draws for the 2025 CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup, are based on club performances over the past five seasons, with priority given to recent results.
The Port Harcourt-based side’s consistent presence on the continental stage places them ahead of two-time African champions Enyimba, who are currently ranked 35th.
The rankings, which include the top 78 clubs in Africa, are instrumental in determining seedings and matchups for CAF’s premier competitions.
