Egypt midfielder Mohamed Elneny has launched Arsenal’s players prayer room inside the Emirates Stadium.
The multi-faith prayer room will serve both christian and muslim players of any team during matches in the North London Stadium.
The launch marked more significance as Muslims across the world commence their annual fasting in the month of Ramadan on Monday.
I am so proud to have opened our player prayer room at Emirates Stadium.
Having this space to contemplate and pray will change the lives of future Arsenal players. I am really grateful to the staff and everyone involved in making this happen @Arsenal ❤️ pic.twitter.com/ovuqLUtJIr

Elneny is a devout Muslim who constantly shares his Islamic belief on social media by reciting quaran in videos.
He is one of the longest-serving players at Arsenal having joined the club in 2018 and he will be a free agent when his contract expires at the end of June 2024.
The 31-year-old has played just three Premier League games for the Gunners this season, with his last league start dating back to August 2022 against Fulham.
Elneny’s experience could be crucial for leaders Arsenal as they chase their first league title since the Invincibles’ run in 2004.
The Egyptian star could also make his third appearance in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday when Mikel Arteta’s men host Porto in a must-win round of 16 game.
