Manchester United were held to a 1-1 draw by Arsenal in the peak of Premier League action on Sunday afternoon at Old Trafford, Afrosport reports.
The Red Devils were hoping avoid a double league loss to the Gunners in the same season for the first time in more than four decades and were ahead in added time of the first half when captain Bruno Fernandes fired in a free kick.
Ruben Amorim’s men remained in the lead until the 74th minute when Jurrien Timber assisted Declan Rice for the equaliser.
The result sees United 17 points clear of the relegation zone in 14th while Arsenal remain in second place but 15 points behind leaders Liverpool.

Meanwhile, Marc Cucurella’s 60th minute strike handed Chelsea a 1-0 win over Leicester City at Stamford Bridge. It was also the first time they recorded back-to-back wins in the league which moved them above Manchester City into fourth spot.
Tottenham Hotspur came from two goals down at their eponymous stadium to draw 2-2 with Bournemouth. The Cherries went ahead with goals from Marcus Tavernier and Evanilson but Spurs came back in the final 23 minutes through Senegal midfielder Pape Matar Sarr and a penalty from captain Heung-Min Son.
