Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo scored the only goal as Bournemouth clinched a 1-0 win over Fulham in the Premier League on Monday, Afrosport reports.
Semenyo needed only 53 seconds to get the Cherries in front at the Vitality Stadium, scoring his side’s fastest goal in the league this season.
Bournemouth broke away in the midfield through Alex Scott, whose pass to Semenyo was not clearly dealt with by Antonee Robinson. The Ghana international, however, ran at the Fulham defence before finding the bottom corner with a left-footed strike from the edge of the box.
The 25-year-old scored his eighth Premier League goal of the season in his 31st game, tying his record from last campaign in two games less.

Bournemouth almost doubled their lead in the 17th minute through Brazilian forward Evanilson, but his close-range strike off a header from Scott powerfully ricocheted off the crossbar.
Chances fell to both sides in the first half, with Rodrigo Muniz and Ryan Sessegnon failing to trouble Kepa Arrizabalaga, while Bernd Leno denied Scott’s left-footed strike at the other end.
Nigerian midfielder Alex Iwobi asked questions of the Bournemouth defence in the second half, forcing Arrizabalaga to a wonderful acrobatic save.
Neither team was able to find the back of the net, with Semenyo’s early strike earning the title of “game-winner” as the forward was subbed off to a standing ovation in the 89th minute.
The hosts held on to end their six-game winless run, which included four defeats and two draws, and equalled their club record Premier League points tally.
Andoni Iraola’s men are eighth in the Premier League standings with 48 points after 32 games and will head to Selhurst Park next to take on 12th-placed Crystal Palace on Saturday.
