Romelu Lukaku scored his second goal in three Serie A games to help Napoli to a 3-0 win against Empoli at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Monday, Afrosport reports.
Lukaku assisted two goals and found the back of the net in the 56th minute to complete Napoli’s thumping of the relegation-threatened side.

Scott McTominay opened the scoring for the Partenopei in the 18th minute after Lukaku’s great hold-up play. The two former Manchester United players combined with Lukaku finding McTominay, who drove through the middle before finding the bottom corner with a powerful low strike.
Empoli almost levelled the scoring just before the halftime break with a goal-of-the-season contender, but Napoli goalkeeper Alex Meret parried a long-range attempt from Sebastiano Esposito.
Lukaku, meanwhile, got on the scoresheet with his 12th league goal of the season, finishing off a well-timed pass from Uruguayan defender Mathias Olivera to double the hosts’ lead.
The 31-year-old once again turned provider for McTominay’s second goal in the game and eighth of his debut Serie A season. Lukaku, who recorded his 10th assist of the season, picked the ball up on the right side of the box before picking out McTominay, whose glancing header beat Empoli goalkeeper Devis Vasquez.
The Belgian came close to recording a hat-trick of assists as his lay-off to McTominay, who left Vazquez rooted to the spot with a low strike, was denied by the post.
Napoli sealed their third straight home win to remain unbeaten in six league games and close the gap on leaders Inter Milan to three points.
Antonio Conte’s men remain second with 68 points, with six matches to go in Serie A, and head to the Brianteo Stadium next to take on bottom-placed Monza on Saturday.
