Victor Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda has hit out at Napoli after reportedly agreeing a transfer fee with Saudi club, Al Ahli.
Osimhen has been at the centre of transfer speculations this summer with his future at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona uncertain.
Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Napoli are considering an offer of £60 million from Al Ahli as they want to cash in on Osimhen before Saturday’s transfer deadline.
Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are the top European clubs also circling for the signing of the 2023 African Footballer of the Year.
Calenda, on Monday, took to his social media to demand respect for Osimhen by calling that the Nigeria international would want to continue his career in Europe and not in the Middle East amid offers from Saudi.
“Osimhen is a Napoli player, with a contract recently renewed with mutual satisfaction. He made history and when there were major offers (also this year) we always accepted the club’s decisions,” he tweeted.
“As I said, it is not a package to be shipped far away to make room for new prophets. Victor was elected African Footballer of the Year, eighth at the Ballon d’Or, he still has so much to do in Europe. There is need for respect and balance.”

Osimhen has missed Napoli’s first two Serie A matches of the season against Verona and Bologna, and his future in Naples is uncertain after submitting his transfer request to the club.
Napoli, meanwhile, are close to securing a deal for Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea after securing a deal for Scot McTominay from Manchester United over the weekend.
