Super Falcons forward, Asisat Oshoala got a goal and an assist as Barcelona Femeni thumped Roma 5-1 to advance into the UEFA Women’s Champions League semi-finals.
The 28-year-old striker had an inviting cross ricochet off her for Swedish striker, Fridolina Rolfo to grab the first goal of her brace in the opening 45 minutes.
She then had a chance to get a goal from a fast counterattack four minutes later, but her effort from a difficult angle inside the box could only find the side netting.
Oshoala’s hunt for the back of the net paid off immediately after half-time as she scored the fourth goal of the game from a tap in.
Spanish defender Leon Cebrian was also on the scoresheet as Guijarro Gutierrez added Barcelona’s fifth goal.
Oshoala has five goals in the Women’s Champions League and 24 goals in all competitions this season.
She is expected to feature when Barcelona travel to face 13th-placed Alhama in the women’s Primera Division in Spain.
