Ola Aina ruled out of Nottingham Forest’s trip to Arsenal

Ola Aina has been ruled out of Nottingham Forest’s Premier League trip to Arsenal on Saturday afternoon, Afrosport reports.

The 28-year-old came off injured after just 10 minutes on international duty in Nigeria’s 1-1 draw with South Africa in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers on Tuesday, and was replaced by Bright Osayi-Samuel.

New Forest manager Ange Postecoglou, in his first press conference since he replaced Nuno Espirito Santo, confirmed that the Super Eagles full-back is the only player in the squad that is not fit.

“We have a clean bill of health apart from Aina. He had a problem with the national team,” the Australian tactician said.

“The rest of the boys, today is the first fay I’ve had my eyes on them and they’re all fine. Zinchenko is the only one who isn’t fine.”

Aina has featured in every Premier League game this season, playing the entire 90 minutes in the 3-1 win at home to Brentford, the 1-1 draw away at Crystal Palace and the 3-0 loss at home to West Ham United before the international break.

He signed a contract extension back in July that would keep him at the City Ground until the summer of 2028.
