Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen and Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala have been nominated for the 2023 Ballon d’Or.
Osimhen enjoyed an incredible goalscoring run in the Italian Serie A last season where he scored 26 goals in 32 matches to win the league’s top scorer award.
Oshoala, on her part, led Barcelona to dominate the Spanish Women’s league with her contribution of 21 goals in 28 matches.
She also starred for Nigeria at this year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup, scoring a goal before their round of 16 exit.
