Charlotte Hornets will be without forward Grant Williams for a lengthy period after he suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear in his right knee, the team announced on Sunday.
Williams departed the Hornets’ 125-119 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday night after sustaining an injury in the fourth quarter.

The 25-year-old was injured on a drive with about four minutes remaining at Fiserv Forum with the Bucks leading 114-101.
Williams finished with eight points, seven rebounds, and two assists in 32 minutes, shooting 2-for-6 from the floor.
The Hornets revealed that Williams will be out indefinitely with additional updates on his status to be provided in due time.
Williams, with seven starts, has played in 16 games for Charlotte this season, averaging 10.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.1 steals in 29.9 minutes per game.
