The Denver Nuggets on Thursday confirmed David Adelman as their permanent head coach, ripping off the ‘interim’ tag, Afrosport reports.
Adelman, who took over from title-winning coach Michael Malone in April, days before the end of the regular season, is the 13th head coach in franchise history.

He led Denver to wins in their final three games in the regular season to avoid the Play-In Tournament, clinching the fourth spot in the Western Conference as well as home-court advantage heading into the postseason.
The 44-year-old led the team to the Western Conference semifinals in his first postseason run. Denver saw off the Los Angeles Clippers in seven games in the first round before succumbing to the top-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder in seven games after Sunday’s heavy 125-93 loss.
Adelman joined Denver as assistant coach in 2017 following stints at Minnesota and Orlando, and the Nuggets hierarchy are reportedly convinced he is the right man to lead the team forward.
